Create an API Only Role

  1. Go to the Admin area.

  2. Click Users & Roles.

  3. Click the Roles tab and then New Role.

  4. Enter the fields:

    1. Role Name - recommended to use “Reco - API Only Role”,

    2. Permissions - All "Access API" & "Access Admin->Access Users"

    3. Click Create.

Create an API Only User

  1. Click Users (in the Users & Roles page).

  2. Click Invite New User.

  3. Enter the fields:

    1. Email - needed to create the user but won’t receive emails from Marketo.

    2. First name - Reco

    3. Last name - Integration

    4. Click Next.

  4. Select the API Only role that you’ve created and check the API Only checkbox. Click Next.

  5. Click Send.

Create a Custom LaunchPoint Service

  1. Go to the Admin area.

  2. Click LaunchPoint.

  3. Select New and then New Service.

  4. Enter a Display Name for the service. Select the API Only User you’ve created previously.

  5. Click Create.

Gather the needed data for integration and

  1. Click View Details for the custom LaunchPoint service created above.

  2. Copy the Client ID & Client Secret

  3. The Identity & Endpoint URLs is found in the Admin > Web Services menu in the REST API section.

  4. Enter the data into Reco’s integration UI
